Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in a multi-site or data center environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience with IP address management (IPAM) and subnetting.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and routing/switching infrastructure across data centers.
- Maintain a zero-trust security model, implementing strict access controls, multi-factor authentication, and least-privilege principles.
- Configure and maintain Versa, Aruba/Cisco/Juniper/Arista, or equivalent network hardware.
- Updating virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
- Perform regular network performance tuning, capacity planning, and load balancing.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices.
- Coordinate with the Data Center team on network provisioning, rack planning, and cable management.
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and inventory.
- Perform disaster recovery planning, failover configuration, and redundancy testing.
- Participate in on-call rotation for escalated network issues.
- Assist in upgrades, patch management, and lifecycle management of network components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Systems Engineering.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Technical Directors and/or other appropriate administrators.
- Monitor network health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure is an advantage.
- Industry certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent are preferred.
