Requirements
- 3+ Years Experience working in Financial Services Sector
- 3+ Years Experience working with SQL and/or other relational databases
- 3+ Years Experience and proficiency in Python, including experience with version upgrades
- Experience with API Integrations and Data exchange protocols
Responsibilities
- System Integration and Development. Develop, maintain, and enhance integration solutions between Gresham’s trading infrastructure applications.
- Automation. Create and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline operational processes.
- Data Management. Ensure accurate and efficient data flow between systems, managing data integrity and consistency.
- Support. Provide technical support for in-house applications (e.g., for performance reporting) and hosted applications (e.g., Charles River, Geneva), troubleshooting issues, and implementing fixes.
- Collaboration. Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other Gresham stakeholders (e.g., Investor Relations) to understand their needs and develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Documentation. Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and integrations.
- Continuous Improvement. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance the overall performance of our systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Possess an understanding of financial markets and trading concepts.
- Possess hands-on experience with order management and accounting systems such as Charles River or Geneva experience.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Familiarity with automation and scheduling tools and frameworks.
- Desire to build robust, scalable solutions rather than implement quick fixes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
