Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM Computer Science, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related work experience or a Master’s degree in a related STEM discipline and 6 years of related work experience, or PhD in related discipline with 4 years of related work experience
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs
- Experience developing system engineering artifacts: Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.
- Familiarity with the application and use of systems engineering tools for requirements management and Object-Oriented requirements definition (e.g., DOORS)
- Experience working in an integrated team environment with system, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions
- Experience using C2BMC processes and methods
- Engineering leadership, identification and definition of desired capabilities, fielding of new capabilities
- System-of-system definition, integration practices, and methods, communicating the desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users
- Agile Iteration Planning
- Knowledge of C2BMC architecture and implementation
- Must be able to work directly with multiple customer organizations and contractor organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as is the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining accurate metrics of team progress
- Supports all team staffing responsibilities, including interviewing new candidates, dealing with team performance issues, and supporting team member growth and development
- Expected to be technically competent in all of the work performed by the team such that they can act as a reviewer of product to ensure quality
- Responsible for defining and ensuring compliance with SE Architecture team processes
- Understand systems engineering processes and principles and have a proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Analyze high-level needs and use a structured and logical approach to refine those needs into an integrated set of requirements that leads to a fielded product desired
- Lead/performing portions of the work and directing the activities of other systems engineers is desired
- Experience in Ballistic Missile defense is highly desired
- A master’s degree in a related STEM discipline with 6 years of related work experience is desired
