Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience; or Master’s degree and 6 years’ experience
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting the planning, designing, and implementing of commercial cloud infrastructures to support mission applications in a DoD setting
  • 5+ years with AWS cloud infrastructure supporting a government environment
  • 5+ years experience performing routine cloud-based system and database maintenance and troubleshooting, managing the installation of SW and HW upgrades, maintain system performance, system configurations, and maintaining system security posture, and recommending enhancements
  • Meet DoDI 8140.03 IT Privileged User qualification and compliance requirements
  • Current U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/SCI (CI Polygraph) clearance
  • Experience leading teams
  • US Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s degree and 14 years’ experience; or Master’s degree and 12 years’ experience
  • 8+ years’ experience supporting the planning, designing, and implementing of commercial cloud infrastructures to support mission applications in a DoD setting

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and oversee efficient operations of the entire IT infrastructure including servers, desktop and networking equipment on test and production environments
  • Leverage extensive experience in system administration to gain and propagate a holistic view of the infrastructure, oversee required activities
  • Ensure necessary IT projects are completed independently or assigned to others as necessary
  • Represent the team, presenting team suggestions and recommendations on processes and procedures in accordance with organization cost, quality, and productivity goals
  • Develop computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company’s system architecture standards
  • Develop and document technical procedures as required
  • Define and create appropriate monitoring templates and configurations and administer capacity management tools
  • Coordinate actions with external partners, peer system administrators, network administrators, security teams, software teams and hardware
  • Management of the helpdesk and ticket workflow to ensure the Verification and Validation process is timely and efficient

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EMS Operations (EMSO), EMBM, and/or Electronic Warfare
  • Active Top Secret /SCI (w/ Polygraph) security clearance (or SCI eligible)
  • Experience with COOP environments
  • Experience with Cross Domain Solutions
  • Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments
  • Experience with DevSecOps
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies and Ceremonies
  • DoD 8140 (451) System Administrator Intermediate Qualifications (Cloud+, SSCP, Security+, etc..)
