Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Purchasing, Public Administration, Business, Finance, or a job-related field -WITH- three (3) years public or private sector job-related experience.
- -OR– Seven (7) years professional job-related experience can be substituted at management discretion for the required education.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Division Manager to enhance grant-funded programs through planning, implementation, and process improvement.
- Develop tools, reports, and guidance materials to support internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal grant regulations and provide expert guidance across the organization.
- Monitor federal program updates and recommend adjustments to minimize financial risk.
- Present updates, findings, and recommendations to leadership and elected officials, including in public board meetings.
- Assist with eGenda tracking and program initiation.
- Lead negotiations and develop subrecipient agreements with compliance and performance metrics.
- Conduct monitoring (onsite and desk-based) to ensure subrecipients meet program and fiscal requirements.
- Review and process subrecipient reports and reimbursement requests.
- Document any findings and corrective actions (as needed).
- Monitor fiscal and program progress, identifying and communicating areas for improvement.
- Review and compile financial documentation for federal and internal reporting systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to collect, analyze, and submit quarterly and annual reports.
- Assist in budget development and adjustments using county fiscal systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Planning, or a job-related field.
- Two (2) years of federal grant experience, to include those working with or administering federal housing programs.
- Knowledge of federal grant requirements and program guidance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder guidance skills.
- Independent decision-making, organization, and goal-setting.
- Experienced in leading time-sensitive projects and building relationships.
- Proficient in clear reporting and documentation.
