Requirements
- BSc in Engineering minimum, preferably Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical or Electrical.
- 4+ years of experience, preferably from a Product or Manufacturing background.
- ASQ CQE certification preferred, Six Sigma certification a bonus.
- Start-up to high volume manufacturing experience preferred.
- Battery, consumer product or automotive experience highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate an ability to manage complex projects with tight timing constraints.
- Must be self-motivated, with a desire to continuously improve and learn.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and improves quality systems, using the do-it-right-the-first-time concept, by measuring performance and driving improvements, in addition to completing product, process, people, systems, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer, audit, and testing issues & complaints; collaborating with other members of management and support teams to develop & enhance our products, processes, and teams.
- Oversee the maintenance of the Holland QMS, internal quality audits, and process related documentation.
- Assist cross-functional Quality work between engineering, technology and operations groups and other functional areas.
- Drive Quality issues to completion through the 5D/8D process.
- Drive the completion of and assist with PFMEAs and Control Plans performed on all product areas.
- Assist with the preparation of quality documentation and reports.
- Assist leadership in development of business processes as required.
- Assist in the creation of Quality processes and procedures.
- Audit validation & release processes to ensure integrity and completeness.
- Work in coordination with continuous improvement team to focus/direct continuous improvement activities/workshops.
- Drive resolution on issues originating from regulatory, customer and 3rd party audits.
- Review and identify trends within the Quality Assurance metrics for the organization.
- Primary customer contact for QA related issues/initiatives as needed.
- Develop, distribute and maintain regular management reports.
- Collaborate with key system and component suppliers and support overall development milestones and prototype/production build events.
- Manage on-site Quality Department personnel, Quality Engineers, Quality Control Technicians as required to ensure corporate goals and objectives are obtained.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Natron to ensure system manufacturing and assembly feasibility and serviceability.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ CQE certification preferred, Six Sigma certification a bonus.
- JIRA experience a bonus.
- Engineering release experience desirable.
- Quality tooling / processes: Inspection fixtures, electronics test stands, metrology.
- Experience with or knowledge of ISO 9001 desired, audit experience a bonus.
- Product development and validation experience desired.
- An understanding of PLM release process desirable.
- Problem tracking and solving experience desired.
- Containment, recall and warranty experience a bonus.
- Voice of customer, response to customer complaints experience desired.
- Electrical and electronic understanding, ECU development and validation experience a bonus.
- Experience with DFMEA/ PFMEA, especially with controls, electronics and software a bonus.
