Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Space Planning, Retail Operations, or a related Merchandising function.
  • Familiarity with planogram software (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across a matrixed environment.
  • Passion for the retail member experience and a strong visual merchandising sensibility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building and maintaining planograms for Center Core, Apparel, and High Value Space programs.
  • Partner with Space Planning and Category teams to ensure planogram layouts align with merchandising and visual standards.
  • Support the seasonal cadence of reset planning and club-specific merchandising direction.
  • Help execute BJ’s visual merchandising strategy, ensuring standards are consistently applied across categories and programs.
  • Collaborate with Store Operations, Marketing, and field teams to support visual execution and gather feedback from clubs.
  • Contribute to the development of tools, communication, and training materials to support club-level merchandising compliance.
  • Support timelines, deliverables, and communication across key partners including Merchandising, Marketing, Space Planning, and Club Operations.
  • Assist in managing key milestones and workflows for initiatives such as strategic space resets, pilot tests, and merchandising updates.
  • Contribute to documentation and communication to drive clarity and consistency across stakeholders.
  • Partner with Analytics teams to support the development of reporting and dashboards related to space performance, visual execution, and member experience.
  • Help identify gaps in space utilization and merchandising compliance by working with data owners to interpret results.
  • Provide support in reviewing performance results and preparing summaries or visuals for stakeholder use.
