Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with deep expertise in Apache Spark™ and distributed data processing
- Experience working across cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
- Understanding the nuances of modern storage formats like Delta and Iceberg
- Building scalable pipelines using orchestration tools like Airflow
- Experienced in tuning Spark jobs for performance and cost
- Strong ownership of problems from end-to-end
- Ability to clearly and empathetically communicate complex technical concepts
- Thrives in collaborative, customer-facing environments
Responsibilities
- Help a major customer realize the full potential of Databricks through technical excellence, partnership, and a relentless focus on outcomes
- Unblock technical challenges, accelerate migration efforts, and drive meaningful outcomes from day one
- Collaborate closely with Databricks product and engineering teams to share customer feedback and help shape future platform capabilities
- Codify best practices and contribute to internal knowledge bases that scale the impact of the Specialist Solutions Architect team
