Requirements
- Previous experience managing EHSS programs and processes
- Self-directed and motivated to approach tasks and responsibilities
- Previous experience using and/or developing EHSS software tools and databases to measure performance, track compliance and identify trends
- Excellent communication, investigation skills and documentation practices to convey information effectively and have crucial conversations at all levels in the organization
- Strong customer focus, reliable work ethic and unwavering integrity
- Experience developing/implementing EHSS management systems and working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Strong industry knowledge of EHSS requirements and the associated regulatory environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level EHSS technical expertise to Dexcom and lead special Global EHSS projects
- Manage and track the progress of Dexcom research and development projects and provide imbedded project support including EHSS risk assessments and safety control requirements
- Partner with site EHSS personnel to sustain a strong EHS culture through the implementation of standardized EHS policies, procedures, and training across manufacturing operations
- Build and continually improve the framework of safety standards and global programs for Dexcom
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Dexcom environmental, health and safety management system to ensure alignment with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, including key performance indicators (KPIs), audit results, safety metrics, and incident trends
- Lead cross-functional teams to conduct risk assessments to proactively identify potential risks that could contribute to injuries or compliance issues and develop action plans to address
- Assist with responding to urgent EHSS concerns and coordinate cross site efforts to address resolution
- Monitor developments, trends, emerging issues, legislation, and regulations related to EHS, and best practice trends in the industry and interpret and incorporate changes/updates to EHS programs
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s degree and/or professional certification (CSP, CIH, etc.) is nice to have
