Requirements
- 13 Years with Bachelors degree in a technical field; 11 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
- Must have U.S. Citizenship with active or current TS/SCI clearance at time of application
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices
- Must have ability to lead multi-disciplinary team
- Must have experience with space system integration with external interfaces including ground segment and host vehicles as well as on orbit operations
- Must be self-directed and able to envision the end state of the mission system and take initiative to drive the appropriate development to closure (whether that be currently in scope work or getting the necessary work in scope)
- Must be able to give executive briefings that communicate complex technical concepts to an audience of non-subject matter experts with varying levels of space domain experience
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that the Space Vehicles being design and built by NG contribute to the larger mission success
- Supporting the Chief Engineer in ensuring that the program is practicing all engineering functions in accordance with customer and internal NG standards
- Assisting with Business development / Capture / Proposals for future missions within the same family of products
- Educating program technical and program leadership, officers and operators on a typical roadmap for system integration
- Interfacing and driving engagement directly with key external stakeholders to ensure mission success
- Laying out a regular cadence of stakeholder interaction and speaking for NG position on technical topics within your area of responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Access to the program
- Understanding of the space security domain
- Experience in RPO mission design, space vehicle development and ground software development
- Experience with space system developmental test and evaluation
