Requirements
- 8+ years in technical recruiting, with at least 2 years focused specifically on AI/ML/Data Science talent.
- Demonstrated success hiring across senior technical and niche roles in fast-paced environments.
- Deep understanding of the AI/ML talent landscape and common tech stacks (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain).
- Comfort speaking credibly about AI systems, infrastructure, and real-world applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with candidates and stakeholders alike.
- Confident in negotiating complex offers with high-level technical talent.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills across multiple pipelines and stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency with ATS (e.g., Workday) and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, SeekOut, GitHub, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for AI-related roles: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
- Build and maintain strong candidate experiences through every touchpoint.
- Develop creative sourcing strategies for passive and active AI talent across platforms (LinkedIn, GitHub, Arxiv, Kaggle, etc.).
- Engage top talent from academia, industry research labs, startups, and enterprise companies.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, and hiring processes.
- Provide consultative guidance using AI market data, compensation trends, and competitor intelligence.
- Evaluate technical skills through structured screening methods (coding challenges, take-home projects, technical interviews).
- Design and refine interview rubrics tailored to AI/ML roles.
- Represent F5 at AI conferences, meetups, and events to promote our employer brand and build top-of-funnel awareness.
- Help shape our narrative as a destination for mission-driven AI talent solving real-world security challenges.
- Champion DEI in hiring: building inclusive pipelines, reducing bias in assessments, and partnering with organizations like Women in ML and Black in AI.
- Stay on top of emerging AI hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent market dynamics to shape recruiting strategies.
- Continuously optimize recruiting workflows for speed, quality, and candidate experience.
- Leverage automation, AI tools, and ATS integrations to scale operations effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience recruiting for AI talent at a cloud, security, or platform company.
- Background or education in computer science, engineering, or data analytics.
- Experience working in high-growth or R&D-driven environments.
