Requirements
- Minimum of 20 years of executive management experience in financial services.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in leadership roles including technology and business risk, operational resiliency and continuity, third-party management strategy.
- A minimum of 20 years of experience in managing, leading and developing global high performing cross organizational teams focused on holistic delivery of risk management capabilities and services.
- Minimum of 15 years of Institutional Asset Management and Wealth Management experience required.
- Global multi-jurisdictional regulatory experience preferred. Undergraduate Degree required.
- Advanced master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) or other professional risk management certification (e.g., FRM) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Partners with COO leadership team to set strategic and operational objectives within a GA strategic framework, aligning with firm-wide risk, regulatory, operational resiliency, and continuity frameworks.
- Builds strong relationships across the COO, GA, Global Regulators, and key internal stakeholders responsible for the firms risk and regulatory management initiatives.
- Owns and is accountability for the global functional initiatives for GA.
- Partners with COO and GA senior leadership team to actively identify and implement process improvements and organizational optimization as part of the firm’s risk and regulatory transformation strategy.
- Develops and embeds a strong risk and control culture across all regions, integrating control frameworks into the technology platforms and business processes holistically across GA.
- Drives organizational, team, and individual development, enhancing productivity and collaboration while ensuring measurable outcomes within defined time frames.
- Work with the GA functional organizations to develop the required frameworks, operating model, roles, and responsibilities for effectively and consistently managing risk across the business.
- Manages and delivers the firm-wide risk and regulatory transformation program in collaboration with the GA functional organizations, defining the future-state operating model for internal and external business and technology risk, resiliency, and operational continuity management.
- Leverages emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance risk management, improve data utilization, and provide actionable insights for monitoring and reporting risk profile across the business.

- The ability to create structured, detailed, and compelling analyses addressed to various audiences within the organization including board of directors’ regulators and the GA Operating Group.
- Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced global, cross functional, highly regulated, matrixed environment internally within GA and across the State Street Corporation.
- Business acumen – ability to pre-empt questions and sense-check the facts and be able to display a detailed business knowledge across all Asset Management business functions.
- Dynamic Management – be comfortable dealing with various changes and adapting to different circumstances.
- Decision Making – ability to find data, insights, and proof points very quickly across the organization and synthesize to effectively make decisions to set future direction.
