Staff Accountant

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year institution
2+ years of relevant experience
CPA certification and public accounting experience preferred
Experience in the renewable energy industry or real estate accounting is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate across all levels and functions of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial environment
Skilled in multitasking and managing complex assignments efficiently
Project-driven mindset with a strong focus on meeting deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Maintain general ledger; prepare and enter month end and other required journal entries
Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable of all portfolios under management
Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances for accuracy
Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and budgets
Prepare work papers and various reports for external auditing
Preparation of monthly management reports, including ‘Budget vs. Actual’ variance reports of portfolios under management and providing follow-up of significant variances
Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual reporting requirements to various parties
Administer obligations and responsibilities under the project agreements
Contribute to the Company special projects as assigned
