Staff Accountant II – Revenue Accounting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or related field
• 1+ years of experience preferably in project accounting, revenue accounting, or contract accounting
• Experience with revenue recognition preferably in the software industry; experience with ASC 606 a plus
• Strong computer skills: Intermediate Excel, general ledger/accounting system, ERP systems, and other Microsoft Office products
• Preference for candidates with working knowledge of Workday and Salesforce systems
• Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work product
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• High degree of professionalism interacting with all levels of management
• Customer service oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Organized and flexible with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a demanding fast pace environment
• Self-motivated team player

Responsibilities

• Daily and monthly responsibilities include data gathering and/or verification
• Prepare monthly and quarterly general ledger balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly journal entries and revenue schedules in accordance with revenue recognition guidance ASC606 and methodologies
• Responsible for the application of U.S. generally accepted accounting standards to these items
• Work directly with the Consulting Operations business teams and Project Managers
• Coordination of certain billing activities and revenue calculations
• Support Sr. Revenue Accountant’s with invoicing, research, and additional tasks as needed
• Operations in various financial systems

Preferred Qualifications
