Requirements
- A BS/MS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles with a focus on security operations, incident response, or threat analysis.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Deep understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and how to defend against them.
- Ability to analyze complex data to identify patterns, anomalies, and indicators of compromise.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Continuously oversee security alerts and events to detect and assess potential threats to the organization’s networks and systems.
- Lead the investigation and response to security incidents, coordinating with cross-functional teams to contain and remediate threats promptly.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, integrating this knowledge into proactive defense strategies.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities, collaborating with relevant teams to prioritize and remediate findings.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents, analyses, and outcomes, and prepare reports for management and stakeholders.
- Evaluate and enhance existing security processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with IT, compliance, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive security posture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred certifications include Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or GIAC certifications.
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
