Requirements
- 10+ Years of Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of modern software development practices, architectures, and technologies. Familiarity with both frontend and backend technologies is advantageous.
- Leadership and Team Building: Proven ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions that align with organizational objectives.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Proficient in project planning, execution, and delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience in Agile development environments, with a deep understanding of Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Adaptability and Innovation: Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and drive innovation within the engineering department.
Responsibilities
- Ability to scope, plan, and lead large projects, with previous experience in delivering significant features and roadmap items.
- Experience communicating across teams, reaching out to stakeholders across the business.
- Ability to understand, clarify, and refine requirements in a rapidly growing business.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical and non-technical thoughts throughout the organization.
- Being the go-to person for solving unknown problems and delivering solutions.
- Continuously improving the code base and upholding a high engineering culture of PR reviews, architecture patterns, and coding styles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience mentoring and developing more junior engineers.
