Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience designing digital products.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in design, computer science, information sciences, psychology, human factors, or human-computer interaction preferred.
  • A professional portfolio of product-focused design work demonstrating your intentional design decisions, thoughtfulness of your process, and the breadth of your skills.
  • High proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, and at least one more UX competency: user research, visual design, or service design.
  • Proficient using design tools such as Figma, and design systems.
  • Success at scale in Consumer and/or B2B products.

Responsibilities

  • Craft exceptional and consistent UI patterns, components, tokens, and other design system components at speed and scale and ensure their coded implementations are aligned.
  • Provide design leadership on standardizing component definition, usage guidelines, tooling, and articulate the why—and guide designers and engineers in their use of components and patterns, and enable everyone’s participation in the design system.
  • Ensure the highest design quality, craftsmanship, and usability standards are upheld throughout the product development lifecycle. Establish and enforce design governance processes to maintain consistency, coherence, and brand integrity.
  • Develop in collaboration with the Principal Product Designers the strategic directions of the AlphaSense product UI, proactively identify opportunities, guide the development of design vision, principles and priorities aligned with company goals.
  • Partner with the Product Design Team, Engineering, and other cross-functional partners to define and drive a transformation of all our products’ user interfaces to be high-quality cohesive experiences with comprehensive attention to visual and interaction details.
  • Deliver key user insights that lead to innovative design solutions by developing a thorough understanding of our customers through quantitative and qualitative data and research.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design, user experience, and design leadership. Share knowledge and insights with the team and advocate for innovative design approaches and tools.
