Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years focused on access & identity, authentication, or security-related products for a consumer technology platform.
  • Experience with identity frameworks, authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Experience with user security best practices, including fraud prevention, bot mitigation, and balancing friction vs. security in account authentication.
  • Familiarity with SSO, social login integrations, and identity federation.
  • Experience designing scalable, global identity solutions that work across web, mobile, and TV platforms.
  • Interpret user behavior, security threats, and authentication flows.
  • You can make strategic trade-offs between security, usability, and business needs.
  • Experience in data-driven decision-making, KPI tracking, and user behavior analysis for access flows.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the roadmap for identity, authentication, and authorization.
  • Enhance and implement modern authentication flows.
  • Improve how users create, access, and manage their accounts across devices.
  • Collaborate with security teams to proactively detect and prevent account takeovers (ATOs), credential stuffing, and fraudulent activities while ensuring legitimate users can access their accounts without unnecessary friction.
  • Ensure compliance with global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and provide users with greater control over their data, including identity verification and consent management.
  • Partner with engineering, design, security, legal, and customer experience teams to launch identity and security solutions that enhance both user trust and platform integrity.
  • Conduct research to understand pain points in authentication and access, using data and UX insights to enhance login experiences and reduce churn caused by access-related friction.
  • Define success metrics and analyze login success rates, account recovery effectiveness, and fraud incidents to improve identity flows and reduce friction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with user identity in a global, multi-device streaming service.
  • Familiarity with biometric authentication, risk-based authentication, and adaptive security models.
  • Experience with account security education.
