Requirements
- 7+ years of experience working with large-scale ETL systems (implementation, strategy, and maintenance), building clean, maintainable code in a production environment.
- Tech leadership experience. Being able to independently define a roadmap, align with stakeholders, and lead a team of more junior engineers to execute.
- Experience with data workflows (such as Airflow), data modeling, ETL (Extraction, Transformation & Load) concepts, and patterns for efficient data governance.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Scala, etc.
- Proven track record of cross-functional execution and collaboration. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Define the data engineering vision and roadmap to deepen actionable insights into Pinterest’s infrastructure cost and usage.
- Lead the team in developing production-ready pipelines, tooling, and scalable systems that empower teams to understand and optimize their infrastructure usage.
