Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience
- Obtain CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) within six months
Responsibilities
- Management of the Sterile Processing Department
- Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating sterile processing technicians
- Creates and maintains policies and procedures that adhere to regulatory standards related to Sterile Processing
- Manages inventory of supplies, equipment, and instruments for Sterile Processing
- Communicate effectively with other departments, staff, providers, and leadership to ensure smooth operations and workflow efficiency
- Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement in Sterile Processing Operations
- Maintains accurate records for sterilization and equipment testing
- Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budget
- Serves as a 24-hour point of contact for Sterile Processing
- Collaborates regularly with Director of Surgical Services
- Performs other duty as assigned to support workflow and patient care
