Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 33% internationally
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of increasing responsibility in the areas of Strategic Sourcing, Materials Management, Operations, Quality, Engineering, or related field, including supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Excel (e.g., excel pivot tables, macros, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Strong business acumen and analytical thinking, as well as supplier management and contract negotiation experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving strategies and projects

Responsibilities

  • Align with functional stakeholders across region to incorporate product and manufacturing strategies into commodity strategies while gaining leadership support
  • Provide daily leadership and management and support to commodity team members while continually developing and expanding individual and team capabilities
  • Accountable for supplier performance via supplier risk and performance scorecards, supplier watch lists, managing supplier escalations, and developing performance improvement plans aligned with Operations and Business objectives and strategies
  • Lead commodity team members to collect and analyze commodity and market data, and develop and execute comprehensive commodity playbook strategies that exceed both short term and long term KPIs
  • Accountable for all commercial negotiations and supplier selections within commodities
  • Identify opportunities for consolidation of suppliers to improve the supply chain design and maximize scale and cost optimization
  • Partner with regional functional teams to ensure delivery of cost productivity, improved payment terms, and improved supplier quality and delivery
  • Responsible for management of strategic suppliers through formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process to improve supplier performance metrics including quality, delivery, productivity, and innovation
  • Engage with NPD Procurement teams to support new product development (NPD) and new technology introduction (NTI), through preferred supplier and SRM programs
  • Accountable for team reporting and managing of commodity inflation, both mitigation and recovery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the development and management of a global supply base is preferred
  • Experience managing multiple electronic manufacturing service providers
  • Experience developing supply chain analytic tools, ERP, GEP, etc.
