Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time (domestic)
- 2+ years prior experience in the US Defense Industry
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-LOOKUPS)
- Experience with market research methods, databases and tools to inform senior leader decision-making using various sources of data
- Experience evaluating of data analysis and visualization techniques to analyze data and effectively visualize it for senior leader understanding using charts, graphs, or market reports
- Experience maintaining multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards for research quality and analysis
Responsibilities
- Manage robust market and competitor datasets, inform forecasting methods, and develop analysis related to Connected Battlespace segments
- Leverage a range of datasets and resources including the U.S. Defense budget documents, third party sources, and partners with Market and Policy team to provide refinement and management of this data to support Mission Systems Connected Battlespace forecasting needs
- Works collaboratively across Collins Aerospace Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and Raytheon Technologies corporate teams to improve analysis and help drive alignment across the organization
- Help drive initiatives to constantly improve the way we manage and optimize data
- Partner with the Market and Policy team to maintain and evolve market segmentations to align with Mission Systems Connected Battlespace strategic pillars
- Maintains a strong understanding of federal budget and procurement process to help drive insights from legislative, procurement, and geopolitical updates
- Tracks and monitor updates from key partners/OEMs in the defense market and how it may impact timing and health of opportunities and programs
- Lead the preparation and development of analyses in PowerPoint and other mediums to provide strategic planning information for Mission Systems senior leadership team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in Tableau
- Experience working with and managing market data, segmentation, and forecasting
- Understanding of defense markets, procurement, and budgeting process
- Ability to quickly develop proficiency in new information sources
