Requirements
- Completed BS/BA degree by the start of the program.
- Strong interest in financial services, professional services, technology, and B2B communications.
- Strong interest in “special situations work” including mergers & acquisitions, shareholder activism, crisis and litigation support, and more.
- Strong analytical, research, written, and verbal skills.
- Possess a team player mindset and willingness to work collaboratively.
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced culture
- Have solid research and critical thinking skills along with strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Extreme attention to detail is a must.
Responsibilities
- Do daily monitoring and analysis of key trends and activity impacting current and potential transaction activity
- Provide ongoing updates and customization of pitch decks
- League table tracking and submission
- Project management, tracking and reporting
- Learn to monitor SEC and legal filings
- Secure relevant media opportunities on behalf of clients, including embargoed media exclusives around strategic announcements
- Assist Prosek team with client media prep sessions
- Develop a keen understanding and knowledge of the media landscape
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with reporters who cover your clients’ transactions/announcements
- Deliver first drafts of external and internal client communications, including but not limited to: press releases, messaging, memos, fight letters, FAQ/Q&A, fact sheets, investor presentations, talking points, management scripts, media briefing materials, and related transaction documents, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strongly encouraged (but not required) to have prior PR internship(s).
