Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
- 2+ years of housekeeping experience
- 3+ years of experience in supervising staff, preferably in a health care setting
Responsibilities
- Supervises a team of 30 direct reports across various shifts maintaining a high performance in a unionized setting.
- Optimizes employee scheduling, adjust shifts as needed and manage EPIC workflows to ensure smooth transitions.
- Coordinates hospital EPIC planning in partnership with nursing and hospital leadership, ensuring alignment with overall hospital strategies.
- Drives process improvement and project management initiatives, including system-wide linen reduction efforts.
- Leads evaluations and trials of new products, such as chemicals and equipment, ensuring they meet the department’s needs and efficiency standards.
- Collaborates with infection prevention teams to ensure strict compliance with environmental audit standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college
- Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional preferred
