Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or equivalent field
- 5 years of progressive experience (usually post-education) in the field of manufacturing, engineering, and/or quality or supply chain
- Demonstrated ability to lead change through influence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Expertise in risk management, quality, and supplier development
- Ability to access US export-controlled information
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier risk management activities, supporting quality first initiatives
- Influence supplier selection
- Read, evaluate, and interpret drawings for machined and/or electronic components to provide technical support
- Travel (approximately 30%) to suppliers’ facilities to evaluate and develop their capabilities, provide support and create partnerships
- Lead strategic sourcing activities including on-boarding new suppliers and performing manufacturing readiness reviews
- Supports supplier evaluation, selection, recovery and performance improvement efforts
- Liaison between the supplier and internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Complex manufacturing experience
- Root cause investigation and corrective action implementation experience
- FMEA/PFMEA or other risk analysis methods
- Quality Assurance, auditing, and compliance
- Project management
- Leadership
- Negotiation
- Estimating skills
- Black/Green Belt and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification
- Trade/export and TINA/DPAS/FAR regulations
