Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year experience including inventory or supply management experience and computer background with CRT or Data Entry
• Demonstrated knowledge of PC
• Good communication skills
• Ability to anticipate patient, employee & department needs and refer for action
• CPR

Responsibilities

• Cleans and restocks support areas including patient room supplies
• Cleans medication counter area and maintain regulatory recommendations prep area
• Maintains laundry room
• Maintains check system for formula and food supply
• Responsible for decentralized laboratory equipment quality control and documentation
• Puts away storeroom orders
• Picks up and delivers capital assets as appropriate
• Assists Manager in maintaining and monitoring all inventory and rental equipment
• Actively processes equipment through an identification system
• Actively organizes, rotates, and orders equipment and supplies
• Maintains all storage and equipment areas in an organized fashion
• Establishes and maintains par levels of patient and Clinician needed supplies in the Pediatric Unit including patient rooms and storage areas
• Maintains a clean and safe environment in the Pediatric Unit
• Inventories and restocks department supplies in the Pediatric Unit
• Keeps Managers informed of any unusual or hazardous real or potential situations regarding supplies and equipment
• Instructs others on the appropriate room stock and location of supplies
• Communicates with Materials Management/Biomedical Engineering regarding replenishment of supplies
• Reports broken equipment and arranges for replacements as needed
• Works closely with all clinical staff to keep communication open regarding supply and equipment needs on Pediatric Unit
• Works with the Manager to give input on annual budget for supply and equipment expense
• Regularly identifies opportunities for cost containment in all areas
• Complies with all applicable universal precautions and safe work practices
