Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting
- New Graduates: Certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Must supply exam date prior to start of employment and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire.
- If hired prior to 1995, Certified Operating Room Surgical Tech (CORST) by the National Health Career Association (NHA)
- Knowledge of Perioperative Nursing Practice & Patient Care
