Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related major
- 10+ years’ commercial loan workout experience with C&I or CRE loans
- Knowledge of commercial fundamentals across all asset types
- Demonstrated proficiency in portfolio management and monitoring, negotiating, and litigation management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative and willingness to be flexible and accommodate changing demands
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned portfolio of distressed loans
- Conduct in-depth analysis into lending relationships in order to formulate and propose an appropriate course of action
- Meet with borrowers to negotiate terms for restructure or settlement; perform site visits to inspect collateral
- Interact with Wintrust Charter Banks and niche groups as problem loans are identified and assigned for active management in MAD
- Enforce bank’s legal rights and remedies working directly with outside counsel and third-party professionals as necessary in litigation
- Collect past due accounts, restructure workable credits, and liquidate collateral as warranted
