Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or similar
- 3 years minimum experience in a related role preferred
- Demonstrated experience working on one or more development projects through the full lifecycle, from concept through operations, on an aerospace or similar high-performance product
- Proficiency working with interdisciplinary technical teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
- Exceptional command of engineering fundamentals, including orbital dynamics, rocket and/or spacecraft design, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, structures, command and control systems, and systems integration workflows
- Extensive experience with CAD tools and configuration management (Siemens NX and Teamcenter preferred)
- Proficiency with fluid analysis tools (Siemens AMESim, Thermal Desktop, Python, EES, REFPROP, Excel, Matlab, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in GD&T, tolerance stackups, and material selection
- Hands on experience performing fabrication and assembly of components
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Willing to relocate to Seattle, WA
Responsibilities
- Support Business Development activities such as customer discovery, solution ideation, and proposal writing
- Listen to customer input and develop system architecture and functional capabilities which meet the customer objectives
- Lead architecture trades for major systems, rapidly transform these decisions into real-life hardware implementations
- Develop system concept of operations, including phases of ground, flight, and recovery
- Define system requirements to meet functional capabilities, define product breakdown, and decompose requirements to lower-level products
