Requirements
- Experience as a hands-on Systems Engineer
- Experience supporting tests of developed solutions, pre- and post-deployment, or tests to troubleshoot and recreate issues identified in the field
- Experience working with end-users, to answer questions, support troubleshooting of issues, or train them in the use of the system
- Experience in data analysis to evaluate performance, identify issues, or support solution recommendations
- Experience developing and managing requirements
- Experience with Linux
- Knowledge of modern communications networks
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in a System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management field and 14+ years of experience as a System Engineer or 19+ years of experience as a System Engineer in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with R Group’s VISTA applications and use cases
- Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzers
- Knowledge of wireless communications networks
- Knowledge of optical networks, along with SONET, SDH, OTN, ETHERNET, OSI Model, and Computer-to-Computer (C2C) structure, or technologies and protocols such as MPLS, VLAN, Pseudowire, TDMoIP, IP, TCP, UDP, VCAT, VOIP, and Video protocols
- Knowledge of scripting languages to automate installations, analysis, testing, and or system monitoring efforts
- Knowledge of CAFES’ mission applications, discovery tools, and how they support critical missions
- Possession of strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
