Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar. Four (4) years military service may be substituted/utilized as related experience in lieu of degree.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience is required in addition to the degree or substitution requirements.
  • Knowledge of Army’s PEO C3T tactical networks and systems.
  • Strong Science & Technology background very helpful to position.
  • Knowledge of Army structure and unit operations.
  • Experience with Army Acquisition (JCIDS and MTAs).
  • Understands system engineering life cycle (SELC) and the interdependencies between PM TR systems in a PEO C3T systems of systems architecture.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and as part of a collaborative team in a lab environment up to 5 days a week, dependent on mission requirements.
  • Data-oriented personality with strong data analysis experience.
  • Have demonstrated abilities in creating, maintaining, and understanding roadmaps, plans, and architectures for future capability sets, including test and integration requirements.
  • Experience with network architectures, to include IP addressing and routing/switching.
  • Experience with radio planning, configuration, and operation.
  • Experience with frequency bands and spectrum planning.
  • Experience with C2, FIRES, and Mission Command applications and systems.
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship possessing active Secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system of systems architecture design, integration, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and documentation for current and future capabilities for PM TR.
  • Handle high level system architectures and interfaces for PM TR.
  • Create roadmaps and plans for integration of current and future capabilities, including integrated test/assessment/analysis.
  • Apply understanding of the Army’s C3T tactical network and apply system engineering principles to recommend technical insertions.
  • Leverage deep understanding of the Army’s Systems of Systems Architecture.
  • Represent PM TR at exercise and experimentation events and prepare executive summaries.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Army Acquisition and requirements processes (including MTA and JCIDS).
  • Plan, manage and recommend emerging technologies, working with vendors to investigate and assess technologies for future adoption and transition to PM TR.
  • Maintain awareness of current, evolving, and new technologies applicable to C3T systems.
  • Interface with vendors to understand and troubleshoot integration of capabilities.
  • Support development of tech insertion, experimentation plans, and fielding schedules for future system of systems architectures.
  • Manage and develop recommended Network Basis of Issue (NBOI) and network diagrams for system of systems architectures.
  • Interface with technical professionals in their respective fields for R&D work as well as in the writing, editing and publication of various types of documents to include test plans, test cases, reports and presentations.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of the operational and technical requirements of products being brought in to support the program.
  • Work proactively with team members to resolve project-related findings and the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Develop test plans and execute testing in both lab and field environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Modeling, Emulation, Simulation Tool for Analysis (MoDESTA), Army Traffic Model (ATM), Capability-Set Architecture Visualization Tool (CAVT), and other relevant applications to quickly and reliably generate architecture views, perform configuration management validate transport designs against treads, and, perform other key functions and analysis.
  • Have experience developing network architecture for modeling and simulation analysis, lab-based and field-based tests and demonstration for BDE, DIV, Army, or Joint level exercises or experiment events.
  • Understand Operational View (OV), Systems View (SV), and Technical Standard View (TV).
  • Cisco/Juniper certifications are a plus, as is additional experience with NetOps tools.
  • Understand NBOI that is used by multiple program offices and directorates to ensure that they are synchronized and working to the same assumptions and plan.
  • Have excellent leadership, verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
  • Have demonstrated experience using MagicDraw or Cameo Enterprise Architect, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), and U.S Army Table of Organization and Equipment (TOE).
  • Experience with MBSE and Digital Engineering.
