Requirements

- 1 + years of related experience
- US Citizenship Required
- Must possess an appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification
- CompTIA Security+ CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) -Security
- CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is the preferred certification
Responsibilities
- Provide routine technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures
- Troubleshoots system hardware and software issues
- Educates end users on the proper use of hardware and software
- Performs basic software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
- Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
- Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
- Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
- Conducts basic hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
- Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
- May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies
- May program in administrative languages
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
- Participates in special projects as required
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis
- Active Directory Account Management
- Windows Server 2012/2016
- Windows 10 and 11 troubleshooting and OS deployment
- Application troubleshooting – Outlook; Excel; Word; JAVA; Internet Explorer
- Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) experience is a plus
- MS Exchange experience is a plus
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
