Requirements
- Ability to obtain DoD security clearance
- Ability to obtain a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD)
- Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years of relevant experience, or 14 years without a degree
- Microsoft MCP/MCSA/MCSE Certification
- Any of the following certifications: A+, Network+, and/or Security+ CE
- Experience in the administration of Microsoft Windows 10 and Server 2016 (updating and patching)
- Knowledge of basic networking
- Experience in the administration of Microsoft Active Directory (create user accounts, manage groups/permissions/access)
- Experience in the administration of Microsoft SQL 2016 databases (log shipping, event management, cluster management)
- Experience in SCCM (reports, patching, updates)
- Experience in Virtualization (build and maintain Windows Server virtual machines) running on a hyper-converged infrastructure (Nutanix)
- Experience with various Backup applications
- Ability to document all work and updates in Service Now
- Ability to document standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions, guides, network diagrams, knowledge base articles
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent teamwork in assisting other team members
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team

Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the Windows server environment including various technical projects
- Engineer, install, maintain, configure and optimize Microsoft workstation and server operating systems to include Windows Server 2016 and 10
- Perform analysis for collaboration of network/system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware and software using a project-based timeline
- Apply appropriate security measures to properly safeguard government systems by implementing industry standard best practices and FPS mandated mitigations
- Support the distribution of security patches throughout the enterprise using Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and other enterprise level tools
- Support the administration of Microsoft SQL databases, Veritas Backup Exec backups, and virtual servers using Nutanix
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP), work instructions, guides, diagrams, and knowledge base articles
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous DHS or DOD experience
- Strong scripting and innovation skills
- Ability to prepare, participate, present in Change Management process, Technical Review Board, and Change Control Board
- ITIL Foundation
