Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in Cloud, Software, Platform, Network, Cyber, and/or IT System Administration or related fields
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities either in project or people leadership
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working through complex engineering challenges which have both technical and political contributions
- Experience working directly with contractors to implement and test complex designs
- Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer site domestically approx. 10%
- Current and active Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI government clearance, which is issued by the US government. US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and lead engineering staff to develop and analyze platform and cloud solutions
- Collaborate with outside organizations to provide technical support
- Personally perform technical work in the fields of cloud, platform, cyber, and/or network engineering
- Influencing key Government and contractor stakeholders to move forward with proposed platform capabilities
- Lead staff who reside in multiple locations with a large concentration in Colorado Springs, CO
- Build teams with appropriate skills and coordinate staffing and priorities to ensure excellent support to customers
- Develop and implement the department’s technical strategy
- Assign resources, estimate staffing needs, coordinate activities, and connect with requisite stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Current TS/SCI or SAP security clearances, which are issued by the US government. US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- Advanced degree in Information Technology or related field
- Experience building and leading a team of technical contributors
- Familiarity with military space systems and operational concepts
- Experience working through cybersecurity accreditation in Space Force or DoD programs
- Experience defining and implementing a strategic technical vision
- Significant experience with commercial cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure
- Cloud, security, network, or other IT related certifications
