Systems Engineer Architect

Hands on experience required in optical metrology or spectroscopy.
Experience with pump probe spectroscopy strongly preferred.
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 8 years; master’s Level Degree and related work experience of 10 years; Bachelor’s Level Degree and related work experience of 15 years.

Leads the development and implementation of system and subsystem requirements and architecture for small to large projects.
Leads and contributes to design reviews for modules and subsystems assigned.
Understands and applies design review rigor and design for X techniques: such as design for performance, value, integration, outsource ability, manufacturability, maintainability, diagnostics, serviceability, total cycle time, COGS, quality, reliability, regulatory, etc.
Conducts feasibility or trade off studies to support subsystem architecture design decisions.
Owns the system error budget calculations.
Writes test plans for modules and may lead the data analysis and completion of these tests.
Performs and supports high level systems testing and troubleshooting of new systems.
Develops the test plans for improvement projects and subsystem/system testing.
Provides technical input to decisions on vendor selection, NRE spending and vendor management.
Able to resolve issues for tools in manufacturing or in the field.
Familiar with the divisional product roadmaps.
Able to communicate effectively with peers, interdisciplinary engineering groups, with customers, vendors and across cultures.
Able to give effective technical presentations up to the PLC level.
Supports problem solving on complex system issues.
