Requirements
- Hands on experience required in optical metrology or spectroscopy.
- Experience with pump probe spectroscopy strongly preferred.
- Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 8 years; master’s Level Degree and related work experience of 10 years; Bachelor’s Level Degree and related work experience of 15 years.
Responsibilities
- Leads the development and implementation of system and subsystem requirements and architecture for small to large projects.
- Leads and contributes to design reviews for modules and subsystems assigned.
- Understands and applies design review rigor and design for X techniques: such as design for performance, value, integration, outsource ability, manufacturability, maintainability, diagnostics, serviceability, total cycle time, COGS, quality, reliability, regulatory, etc.
- Conducts feasibility or trade off studies to support subsystem architecture design decisions.
- Owns the system error budget calculations.
- Writes test plans for modules and may lead the data analysis and completion of these tests.
- Performs and supports high level systems testing and troubleshooting of new systems.
- Develops the test plans for improvement projects and subsystem/system testing.
- Provides technical input to decisions on vendor selection, NRE spending and vendor management.
- Able to resolve issues for tools in manufacturing or in the field.
- Familiar with the divisional product roadmaps.
- Able to communicate effectively with peers, interdisciplinary engineering groups, with customers, vendors and across cultures.
- Able to give effective technical presentations up to the PLC level.
- Supports problem solving on complex system issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pump probe spectroscopy strongly preferred.
