Requirements

  • Hands on experience required in optical metrology or spectroscopy.
  • Experience with pump probe spectroscopy strongly preferred.
  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 8 years; master’s Level Degree and related work experience of 10 years; Bachelor’s Level Degree and related work experience of 15 years.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and implementation of system and subsystem requirements and architecture for small to large projects.
  • Leads and contributes to design reviews for modules and subsystems assigned.
  • Understands and applies design review rigor and design for X techniques: such as design for performance, value, integration, outsource ability, manufacturability, maintainability, diagnostics, serviceability, total cycle time, COGS, quality, reliability, regulatory, etc.
  • Conducts feasibility or trade off studies to support subsystem architecture design decisions.
  • Owns the system error budget calculations.
  • Writes test plans for modules and may lead the data analysis and completion of these tests.
  • Performs and supports high level systems testing and troubleshooting of new systems.
  • Develops the test plans for improvement projects and subsystem/system testing.
  • Provides technical input to decisions on vendor selection, NRE spending and vendor management.
  • Able to resolve issues for tools in manufacturing or in the field.
  • Familiar with the divisional product roadmaps.
  • Able to communicate effectively with peers, interdisciplinary engineering groups, with customers, vendors and across cultures.
  • Able to give effective technical presentations up to the PLC level.
  • Supports problem solving on complex system issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with pump probe spectroscopy strongly preferred.
