Systems Engineer – Manufacturing

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electro/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent required
2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering or a related role
Experience with MES, and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Scripting and programming experience (e.g. Python, C/C++, or Java)
Familiarity with Excel Macros and Visual Basic recommended
Experience with CAD software packages a plus
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
Excellent communication and teamwork skills needed for both in person and remote interactions
Regulatory compliance (ISO 13485) experience in a manufacturing environment a plus

Design and implement systems that support manufacturing processes, including software, hardware, and automation solutions
Provide support and design input into SAP Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose system improvements
Develop and implement solutions for data collection, monitoring, and reporting to optimize production KPIs
Support Industry 4.0 initiatives, smart manufacturing, and digital transformation projects
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, workflows, and procedures
Ensure systems adhere to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Support Quality Assurance documentation disposition activities (i.e. CAPA, Work Instruction Deviations, Risk Analysis and associated reporting)
Investigate production issues by applying root cause analysis concepts
Execute change management processes to update documentation and resolve production issues
Train engineering and production teams on system functionalities and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with manufacturing goals

Experience with CAD software packages a plus
