Requirements
- Clearance Required: Secret This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Interim or Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred. Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- BS or advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or another relevant field
- 10+ years of professional experience in a systems or software engineer position
- 3+ years of professional experience in a technical lead position
- Experience leading “badge-less” engineering teams on a large National security contract
- Excellent organization skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering leadership and defining the engineering baseline for development teams which include prime and other subcontractors team members.
- Develop and implement systems engineering processes.
- Design architectures for remote sensor data processing systems.
- Ensure work products meet program requirements.
- Ensure development work products are aligned with the engineering baseline.
- Coordinate with customer representatives, program managers, engineering leadership, software developers, and other members of the systems engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain experience with remote sensor systems or ground architectures, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing
- Experience with general tools such as Excel, MS Project, and Powerpoint
- Interim or Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
