Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Large Scale Mainframe computing environments
- 5+ years experience with z/OS software lifecycle management
- 3+ years experience with IBM Systems Automation and Netview deployment and customization
- 3+ years experience with Mainframe Security product deployment and customization
Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage multi-vendor z/OS software products
- Leverage various z/OS products/utilities
- Perform system monitoring/tuning for performance and capacity
- Develop and deploy best practice solutions in alignment with business requirements
- Provide support for complex technical and operational issues, driving problem resolution through root cause determination
- Produce control evidence for various audit inquiries
- Interact with vendors to plan and implement z/OS system upgrades
- Work effectively within Change and Problem Management structures
- Engage in the development and execution of continuity and recovery plans
- Participate in on-call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of database optimization and performance tuning
- Experience in mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and skill enhancement
- A strong strategic mindset with the ability to align IT initiatives with business goals, driving value through technology
- Deep knowledge of disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing within IBM environments
- Advanced skills in security management, including audit journal analysis, compliance with security frameworks, and mitigation of security risks
- Strong experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and third-party software integration
