Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or related field
  • Must have 3 years of experience in Electrical Systems Engineering
  • Must have 3 years of experience in in-vehicle or bench testing of automotive Electronic Control Units (ECU), software, and features
  • Must have 3 years of experience in testing automotive software features using test management and test specification
  • Must have 3 years of experience in managing projects using status reporting
  • Must have 3 years of experience in utilizing Controller Area Network (CAN) testing tools, including Vector and Intrepid Control Systems, for automotive testing
  • Must have 3 years of experience in utilizing on-board diagnostics (OBD) or electrical wire harnesses, and logging software to test and extract data from automotive ECUs, vehicles, and networks
  • Must have 3 years of experience in utilizing JIRA, Jenkins, or PuTTY
  • Must have willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a test engineering team in the testing of automotive product system requirements and design specifications
  • Identify and assess complex software integration problems that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and create solutions for implementation by the team
  • Lead a test engineering team to gather and interpret user/system/design requirements into testing specifications
  • Work with testing and system engineering teams to understand system requirements and translate requirements into technical testing specifications
  • Develop and maintain testing specifications for various automotive applications
  • Execute test specifications and report observed system defects
  • Develop or update project plans for stakeholders and supervisors, including project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing
  • Adhere to strategic direction set by supervisors and senior management
  • Conduct project and issue management (including status reporting, issue reporting, and resource reporting) for assigned scope of work, and make decisions that impact the team through regular consultation with senior management.
