Requirements
- Collaborate with engineering leaders and technical teams to define, scope, and sequence major technical initiatives and projects
- Lead cross-functional coordination and planning for complex engineering projects, acting as the glue between product, engineering, and business orgs
- Partner with product managers and engineers to understand and execute product launch plans, including coordinating feature development and deployment
- Build and maintain relationships with research teams to translate cutting-edge capabilities into customer-ready features
- Create detailed project plans, timelines, and resourcing strategies for technical projects
- Develop processes to better track and document product requirements and feature specifications
- Provide clear and transparent reporting on program status, issues, and risks to executives and stakeholders
- Establish scalable program management frameworks, playbooks, and best practices
- Foster a culture of accountability, rigor, and continuous improvement on the technical program management team
Responsibilities
- Understanding of distributed systems architecture and experience with large-scale infrastructure optimization
- Familiarity with ML frameworks and distributed training orchestration tools
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning algorithms, training pipelines, and evaluation metrics
- Experience with experiment tracking systems, model versioning, and CI/CD pipelines for ML systems
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) for ML workloads and resource optimization
- Ability to analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive technical solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Have 7+ years of technical program management experience, ideally in AI/ML product development
- Have a track record of successfully delivering complex technical programs
- Are skilled at coordinating technical projects across multiple engineering and research teams
- Have exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to influence without authority and build cross-organizational support
- Have a high threshold for navigating ambiguity and can balance setting strategic priorities with rapid, high-quality execution
- Are comfortable diving deep into technical details while maintaining a high-level view of program status
- Thrive in unstructured environments and have a knack for bringing order to chaos
- Are experienced with product development methodologies and release management
- Are highly organized and can manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively
- Have a track record of building trust with engineering teams and driving technical changes through influence
- Are passionate about Anthropic’s mission and ensuring AI is developed safely
