Requirements

  • Collaborate with engineering leaders and technical teams to define, scope, and sequence major technical initiatives and projects
  • Lead cross-functional coordination and planning for complex engineering projects, acting as the glue between product, engineering, and business orgs
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to understand and execute product launch plans, including coordinating feature development and deployment
  • Build and maintain relationships with research teams to translate cutting-edge capabilities into customer-ready features
  • Create detailed project plans, timelines, and resourcing strategies for technical projects
  • Develop processes to better track and document product requirements and feature specifications
  • Provide clear and transparent reporting on program status, issues, and risks to executives and stakeholders
  • Establish scalable program management frameworks, playbooks, and best practices
  • Foster a culture of accountability, rigor, and continuous improvement on the technical program management team

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of distributed systems architecture and experience with large-scale infrastructure optimization
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks and distributed training orchestration tools
  • Knowledge of reinforcement learning algorithms, training pipelines, and evaluation metrics
  • Experience with experiment tracking systems, model versioning, and CI/CD pipelines for ML systems
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) for ML workloads and resource optimization
  • Ability to analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and drive technical solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have 7+ years of technical program management experience, ideally in AI/ML product development
  • Have a track record of successfully delivering complex technical programs
  • Are skilled at coordinating technical projects across multiple engineering and research teams
  • Have exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to influence without authority and build cross-organizational support
  • Have a high threshold for navigating ambiguity and can balance setting strategic priorities with rapid, high-quality execution
  • Are comfortable diving deep into technical details while maintaining a high-level view of program status
  • Thrive in unstructured environments and have a knack for bringing order to chaos
  • Are experienced with product development methodologies and release management
  • Are highly organized and can manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively
  • Have a track record of building trust with engineering teams and driving technical changes through influence
  • Are passionate about Anthropic’s mission and ensuring AI is developed safely
