Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a focus on writing or communications
- 3+ years of user documentation or technical writing experience
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent command of both French and English grammar
- Ability to bring cross functional teams together to complete documentation requirements, including creation, review, approval, and publications
- Experience translating from English to French in areas such as finance, accounting, taxation, management, marketing, human resources, and information technology
- Experience and working knowledge with content management systems
- Knowledge of technical writing principles
- Expertise in Microsoft Manual of Style and other prescribed style guides
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and organizational / time management skills, with the ability to multi-task productively
Responsibilities
- Create a positive team member experience
- Translate policies, procedures, and supporting documentation from English to French
- Engage in the development and production of enterprise-wide policies, procedures, and supporting documentation
- Interact with subject matter experts, executives, and business partners to ensure alignment with legal and compliance requirements and produce accurate and clear policies and communications
- Manage multiple writing projects with tight deadlines
- Ensure consistency, superior level of accuracy, and outstanding grammar and style in policy and procedure documentation
- Adhere to internal Style Guide to ensure consistency and alignment with prescribed company style standards
- Analyze, write, edit, and publish policies and procedures with outstanding level of grammatical and stylistic accuracy and consistency
- Update internal Style Guide to include French-specific word usage and style standards
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of HTML, desktop publishing, and French translation
- OTTIAQ certification and membership preferred
