Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
- TS/SCI clearance with CI poly
- 1-2 years of experience in technical writing or editing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with SharePoint
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience working within AP Style and an agency-specific style guide
Responsibilities
- Proofreading and editing communications materials, including briefing documents, reports, and multimedia content
- Ensuring all materials adhere to AP Style, the agency’s specific style guide, and correspondence guidelines
- Assisting in the research and development of communication products
- Collaborating closely with writers and visual information specialists to enhance the readability and effectiveness of communication materials
- Supporting the Congressional, Strategic Communications, and Multimedia divisions in their editorial and content development needs
- Attending meetings to gather information, provide editorial support, and ensure alignment with communication objectives
- Managing multiple assignments simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a government or military environment is desired
