Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, analytical and/or business field of study required; Master’s degree, Financial certification such as CFA or MBA is a strong plus.
- 15+ yrs experience leading and working on large complex programs / projects in Asset Management Data and Technology.
- Understanding of alternative investments, especially Private Equity and Hedge Funds, and investment/financial technology systems within a large scale Asset Management setting.
- Experience leading large multifunctional application transformation workstreams delivering measurable outcomes and business value including risk reduction, resiliency, simplification, reduced total cost of ownership.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Experience with Alternative Investments vended platforms such as Backstop, iCapital, Allvue, Subscribe, Dealcloud, Chronograph etc.
- Track record of hiring, developing, and engaging a diverse and high-performing teams and managing performance by driving a culture of accountability.
- Experience with range of technologies including database experience working with vast amounts of data, building and integrating API’s into platforms, Micro services architecture, Client facing application development, Java/Python, Public and Private cloud architecture.
- Proficiency with Agile (Scrum/SAfe) and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- A background in conducting team gatherings, distributing action points and responsibilities, and overseeing the comprehensive progress of projects, with strong experience using Jira and Confluence.
Responsibilities
- Build and foster strong relationships with business and technology partners and will be responsible for leading and developing a team that will be focused on delivering exceptional solutions and solving business challenges across the life cycle for Alternative Investments capabilities.
- Work with industry leading vended platforms and internal teams to define strategic technology roadmap to modernize, optimize, and transform technology solutions to provide more efficient tools and overall partner experience.
- Focus on maximizing the value of services delivered to business and collaborating with stakeholders to align business strategies with strategic technology programs and initiatives.
- Improve communications and overall engagement with business partners on a day-to-day basis and building long-term relationships between business partners and technology stakeholders that foster trust and transparency.
- Align technology strategy with business-based decisions and fosters consensus at all levels of the organization to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
- Collaborate with Architecture and Data teams to create roadmaps that enable business growth and the future state of the business.
- Plan, evaluate and hire great talent. Set the performance standards and provide mentoring and training to develop and grow direct reports.
- Ensure compliance with all audit, security and risk management requirements.
- Invest significant efforts to keep self-updated with fintech emerging products/technology capabilities to integrate as off the shelf products to find optimum solutions and be able to advise build vs buy options.
- Work in a fluid and dynamic environment, and understand how to effectively communicate complex concepts that can be understood by senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
