Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in IT or Cybersecurity (preferred)
- 2 years of experience required, 5 years preferred
- Prior experience within DoD networks
- Avaya Certified Support Specialist (ACSS)
- Nortel Meridian System Administration
- IAT Level II (per DoD 8570.01-M)
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), including Avaya Systems CM4.0 and Nortel Meridian
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of switch issues
- Conduct software updates and patching
- Install and configure switch hardware
- Monitor daily operations
- Support voicemail systems and IPE (Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment)
- Ensure switch systems remain fully operational and compliant with DoD/Navy standards
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience preferred
- Associate’s degree or higher in IT or Cybersecurity (preferred)
