Requirements
- Earned a doctorate or a degree equivalent to a Ph.D. in the United States, in nursing or a closely related discipline.
- A valid United States nursing license.
- A strong record of research and scholarly achievements.
- Demonstrated commitment to, or vision for, building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community.
- Evidence of, or potential for, receiving external research funding.
- The following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
- Must show evidence of expertise in advancing science or theory and/or conducting an independent program of research (including serving as PI of funded grants and dissemination of research through presentations, scholarly publications, and directing research activities of others).
- Must have demonstrated and sustained productivity in research and scholarly activities, recognized leadership in professional organizations and learned societies, and national recognition as a leader in their area of research.
Responsibilities
- Direct a research program focused on nursing science and its translation to person-centered care across the lifespan and the health/wellness continuum.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses.
- Supervise and mentor doctoral students.
- Engage in outreach to disseminate research to stakeholders, including policymakers, nurses, and other practitioners at national, regional, and local conferences and meetings.
