Requirements
- BSME Degree
- 3+ years of 3D CAD mechanical part design experience in any of the following: injection molding, stamping, forging, die casting, CNC, etc.
- Ability to travel up to 10% internationally.
Responsibilities
- Develop heat pipe vapor, chamber and fin stack hardware used in thermal management of system.
- Generate concepts, create CAD models, prototype, and test to drive design down-selection.
- Collaborate with Thermal Design engineers to optimize thermal modules for performance for various power loads.
- Provide guidance to Architecture, Thermal and System Product Design teams for module sizing, system integration considerations, performance testing and verification, etc.
- Partner with external vendors & internal operations teams to optimize designs for function and manufacturability.
- Ensure design meets reliability requirements throughout its lifecycle and perform failure analyses.
- Design, fabricate, and provide functional requirements for assembly and test fixtures.
Preferred Qualifications
- MSME
- 2D mechanical drawing layout experience, familiarity with GD&T or SPC or Cp/Cpk.
- Experience with Unigraphics or Solid Works or Creo or ProE, etc.
- Fundamental knowledge of heat transfer and statics.
- Prior design experience with thermal modules or vapor chambers is a major plus.
