Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Sustainability, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Minimum 10+ years in trade compliance, ESG, and/or risk management roles
  • Strong knowledge of international trade laws, ESG regulations, and risk management principles
  • Proven leadership experience in a corporate compliance environment
  • Experience with regulatory agencies, such as OFAC, BIS, SEC, or EU compliance bodies
  • Deep understanding of global regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop and implement cross-functional strategies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High ethical standards and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with global trade laws, including import/export regulations, sanctions, and customs requirements
  • Develop and maintain trade compliance policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on potential business impacts
  • Conduct risk assessments related to trade operations and implement mitigation strategies
  • Oversee compliance with trade agreements, tariffs, and embargoes
  • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and supply chain teams to enforce compliance policies
  • Lead ESG strategy development and implementation aligned with corporate objectives
  • Establish sustainability goals and initiatives, including carbon footprint reduction and ethical sourcing
  • Ensure ESG reporting compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SEC, EU Taxonomy, GRI, SASB)
  • Engage with stakeholders, investors, and regulatory bodies on ESG performance
  • Develop corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs and diversity & inclusion initiatives
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate corporate and operational risks
  • Develop risk management frameworks in line with industry best practices
  • Implement internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and business continuity
  • Lead cross-functional risk management initiatives, including cybersecurity, operational risk, and crisis management
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on enterprise risk strategies and reporting
