Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in training and development, with a proven track record in designing and delivering learning programs.
  • Experience managing a LMS or similar learning platforms, including system administration, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver training programs for transit employees, including both online and in-person training.
  • Ensure that training programs cover essential topics such as safety protocols, regulatory compliance, customer service, and operational efficiency.
  • Tailor programs to meet the specific needs of various roles within the transit organization, from drivers to administrative staff.
  • Develop curriculum, eLearning modules, training guides, and other educational resources.
  • Oversee the scheduling, coordination, and execution of training sessions to ensure that programs are delivered effectively and on time.
  • Monitor the performance of training initiatives and adjust content and delivery methods based on feedback and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee training history, certifications, and compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Prepare reports on training activities, employee progress, and program effectiveness for senior leadership and regulatory bodies.
  • Consult with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leadership to identify training needs and develop solutions to address them.
  • Communicate training schedules, expectations, and any updates to employees and management.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in training, learning, and development.
  • Collect feedback from trainees and managers to refine training approaches and content delivery methods.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring its smooth functionality.
  • Manage user access, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the system meets the needs of employees and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement training programs and materials within the LMS, ensuring they align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Track training progress, completion rates, and learner performance to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • As a part of your responsibility to support the CATS Safety Culture, report safety concerns and issues through the various methods established by CATS as outlined in the ASP.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field (such as Instructional Design, Education, or Business) preferred.
