Requirements

  • College degree preferred with 5 years of experience or equivalent transferrable experience
  • Prior experience as a manager required and experience as a CDL driver preferred
  • DOT and Hazardous training and experience preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of lubes, tank wagon fuel and all related protocols
  • Prior P&L experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite applications i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solves with minimal supervision
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • High level of organization
  • Knowledge of US DOT regulations
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong team building, decision making and people management skills; Ability to create accountability and lead by example

Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct a team of drivers, warehouse managers, workers, and technicians, ensuring proper training and processes
  • Environmental compliance, inventory management, and equipment maintenance
  • Act as a subject matter expert on loading and delivery SOPs, legal requirements, and specialized equipment
  • Evaluate and communicate drivers’ job performance, ensuring proper documentation with HR
  • Maintain budget targets, control expenses, and ensure operational efficiencies
  • Increase production capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards
  • Ensure production output, product integrity, and timely shipping and delivery
  • Collaborate with the Fuel Farms Managers to maintain rolling stock assets
  • Work with HR to recruit, manage, and develop team members
  • Maintain and update site-specific Tier III’s and ensure SOPs are upheld
  • Track productivity and performance metrics for efficient and profitable growth
  • Resolve customer disputes and problems
  • Ensure the facility’s Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasures plan is current and communicated
  • Perform and document facility inspections to address safety or product integrity concerns
  • Investigate and report facility or delivery procedure incidents and near misses
  • Order and maintain office supplies, PPE, and warehouse supplies
  • Adhere to all regulations and ensure driver paperwork is correct and timely
  • Develop and present safety meeting content and toolbox talks
  • Ensure team members are trained to use equipment safely and that equipment is maintained
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
