Requirements

  • BS in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or related technical discipline
  • 2+ years of engineering experience
  • 1+ years of project engineering or project manager experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Desire to learn project management, new processes, test engineering, and spacecraft development
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint, etc.
  • Self-starter, strong bias for action
  • Experience working collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single threaded leader for Vehicle level test for testing priorities, including scheduling testing and hardware build up, coordinating with Responsible Engineers, Test Engineers, and Test Facilities, tracking POs, and coordinating/assembling necessary test documentation and review to ensure testing objectives and milestones are met.
  • Develop and maintain Project Schedule(s) within the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Represent the Lunar I&T team in discussions with the Planning organization to ensure Lunar I&T critical milestones are embedded in the Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Manage hardware status, supporting both internal and external demand
  • Manage budgets and implementation of capital equipment and facility projects
  • Collaborate with all departments to access and collect data that informs decision making
  • Interface with NASA customer to provide schedule and insight for testing efforts
  • Reduce and close risks and identify opportunities
  • Manage key program metrics (and associated reporting tools) in areas such as: Budget, engineering schedules, equipment schedules, procurement schedules, production schedules, program management status reports, and resource plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MS Project, P6 or similar planning tool.
  • Exceptional with Excel and manual data analysis
  • Experience with participating in NASA technical reviews
  • Experience with launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellite development, production, or operations
  • Experience driving a product from concept development into production
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Experience with CREO, Windchill, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, SQL, MySQL, Power Query, Power Pivot
